Paweł Krawiec (born 1993) is a Polish jazz guitarist born and based in Poland. From a young age, he has been involved with music, starting to play the violin at the age of 6 and the electric guitar at the age of 14. He is a graduate of the Music Academy in Katowice. On December 15, 2023, he released his debut album with his quartet titled "Ofensywa".

The material was very well received, quickly receiving positive reviews, including from Marek Romański for Jazz Forum, Łukasz Dębowski for the portal Polska Płyta Polska Muzyka, Adam Baruch, and Mateusz Chorążewicz for Polish Jazz, appearing in the prestigious column Focus on Debut.

The artist is an outstanding instrumentalist, creating his own style that he values the most. His playing features elements from traditional jazz, modern, and free jazz styles. His early influences from artists like Jimi Hendrix bring a wild spirit into his music. Paweł's expressive compositions and playing style are charismatic and attract listeners from the first sounds.

As his current biggest inspirations in jazz guitar, he mentions artists like Julian Lage, John Scofield, Cecil Alexander, and Bill Frisell. These are musicians whom, as he says, cannot be classified in any way and play in completely individual and unique styles. Paweł Krawiec pursues the same idea of originality in the spirit that guides him.

He is a Grand Prix winner in Lubaczów, a finalist in the international Jazz Juniors competition, a distinguished finalist in the international guitar competition Śmietana Competition, and a Grand Prix winner with his quartet at the first edition of Jazz Water Meeting.

The guitarist ranks high in the Jazz Forum's Jazz Top 2023 survey in various categories. In early 2024, Paweł formed a Trio with which he recorded material for a new album titled "Brawura", to be released by SJRecords on September 12, 2024.

"On the other hand, Krawiec's guitar sound is one of the strongest points of 'Ofensywa'. His ability to combine jazz and rock-blues sounds from the 60s and 70s gives the album a unique character. These diverse musical influences are interpreted by Krawiec in an incredibly original and coherent way."

"There are many jazz guitarists out there - also on our Polish music scene. However, it turns out that you can still stand out in this numerous company and not only sound original, but also play fresh and intriguing music. His guitar parts are fused with the character of each song, and also become an element of interaction between the musicians. When the situation requires it, they become wild and expressive - at other times poetic, or burst with fountains of fast runners - as in the song Pierogi."
